Maya Mobile eSIM test 2026

Tried Maya in London (with a Europe eSim). I had two to try and they were both completely non functional. Getting support on them was also an infuriating experience. I won’t be returning to Maya ever again.

Every time the plan ended sooner that it should due to "system error", support gave me 10 days which also ended sooner than they should due to "system error". Had to get data from other place anyway. Don't recommend, also waiting for support to respond is either 2 days or 2 minutes, nothing inbetween. Same thing happened 4 times. Last time, got my plan reactivated with... 4 days less and then support stopped responding. Nice experience. Also support can't count days.

My experience with them is negative. Not in terms of coverage, which is quite satisfactory. What I've found disappointing is the GB usage and the unrealistic consumption. I usually use about 5 GB in a month. I purchased a 3 GB eSIM card from them, and on the second day of use, (Only Whatsapp messages, no vocal, no video, no pictures and only google maps) I received a warning that I had already used up 70% of my available data. Considering that I knew the available limited GB, I had also limited myself, this is unrealistic. So their GB usage is a scam to force you to buy more credit.
