BC Place is located in Northeast False Creek, just south of downtown , around 2 km from the city centre. The nearest airport is Vancouver International Airport (YVR), approx. 12 km to the south. Public transit: SkyTrain Expo Line (Stadium–Chinatown) and Canada Line (Yaletown–Roundhouse), both within walking distance.

Network situation at the venue

BC Place sits right on the edge of downtown Vancouver and benefits from one of Canada's densest macro-site footprints. By the end of 2024 Rogers upgraded the stadium's own DAS to 5G for around CAD 10 million, increasing capacity 38-fold by its own account. For the 2026 World Cup, Rogers is adding further downtown sites and mobile cells-on-wheels around BC Place, SkyTrain stations and fan zones. Telus is separately providing the official World Cup Wi-Fi for the city. Travellers with an eSIM mostly land on Rogers or Telus via roaming partners and get stable 5G/LTE inside the stadium.

Will my phone get a signal inside BC Place during the World Cup match?

Yes. Since the Rogers 5G upgrade in late 2024, BC Place has one of Canada's most capable stadium networks. A travel eSIM for Canada typically roams on Rogers or Telus — both are wired directly into the indoor DAS, so 4G/5G stays usable even with a full house. Important: enable “data roaming” in your phone settings, and before departure check that your eSIM covers Canada (CA), not just the USA. USA-only plans do not work in Vancouver.
